Cultivating Skills, Growing Sustainability!
"Gardening is the art of nurturing life, one seed at a time."
As part of the CBSE Kaushal Bodh initiative, the students of Class VI, Vardhman Academy, Railway Road, Meerut, participated enthusiastically in a hands-on School Kitchen Garden Activity. Students explored various gardening tools and materials and learnt their safe and proper usage. They gained practical experience in preparing soil, sowing seeds, planting seedlings, watering plants, using manure and organic fertilisers, and protecting plants. They were also introduced to composting and vermicomposting, understanding how organic waste can be transformed into valuable nourishment for plants.
The activity provided students with an opportunity to learn beyond the classroom while developing teamwork, responsibility, care for living organisms and environmental awareness. It also helped them understand the importance of sustainable practices, healthy food and growing fresh produce.
Through this enriching experience, students not only learnt the skills of gardening but also nurtured the values of sustainability, responsibility and respect for nature. 🌿 Small seeds today, a greener and healthier tomorrow
