On October 1, 2023, Vardhman Academy,Railway Road,Meerut carried out a cleanliness drive as part of the Swachh Bharat Mission initiated by the Government of India. This event was organized by the Swachh Sarathi Club of school students under the able guidance of Principal Mrs. Rupali Chaudhary, along with the support and active participation of dedicated teachers of the school.
The primary objective of this cleanliness drive was to promote cleanliness, hygiene, and environmental awareness among the students and the local community. It aimed to contribute to the Swachh Bharat Mission's vision of a clean and green India.
Activities:
Cleaning of School Premises: The day began with students and teachers joining hands to clean the school premises. They swept classrooms, corridors, and the playground, ensuring that the school looked pristine.
: Students and teachers, armed with brooms and trash bags, took to the streets surrounding the school. They removed debris, and cleaned public space.
Awareness Rally: The Swachh Sarathi Club made aware the surrounding citizen through a awareness rally. During the rally the students raised the slogans and interacted with the people.
So the cleanliness drive led by Vardhman Academy and the Swachh Sarathi Club of school students on October 1, 2023, was a successful endeavor in line with the Swachh Bharat Mission's objectives. It not only improved the cleanliness of the school but also spread awareness about the importance of cleanliness and environmental responsibility. The active involvement of students, teachers and the community made this event a meaningful step towards a cleaner and greener India.
